Sustainability Challenges & Opportunities for the Cosmetics Sector, Roundtable.
This episode featured the closing panel for our Sustainable Beauty E-Summit that happened back in January on Sustainability Challenges and Opportunities for the Cosmetics Sector. We came at the topic of sustainability challenges and opportunities from a wide scope of expertise. Featuring Akemi Ooka, Ph.D., Head of Global Supply Chain and Sustainability Resources at the Independent Beauty Association. Akemi's experience ranges from product development to sourcing and supply chain management, to sound policy advocacy. Michael Fevola, Ph.D., Vice President of R&D at Inolex; Mike is an inventor on 38 US Patents and a coauthor of 20+ peer-reviewed articles and serves as chair of the Personal Care Products Council INCI committee. And Mark Trexler, Ph.D., director at The Climatographers, Mark worked on the first carbon offset project in 1988, and founded the first business climate risk consultancy in 1991. He also served as a lead author for the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC). I found the conversation to be very insightful - hope you enjoy it as much as I did!
