Growing Greener, featuring Dr Rene Van Acker and Dr Kevin Folta

A conversation about the realities for 'sustainable' agriculture, featuring Dr Rene Van Acker, dean of the Ontario Agricultural College at the University of Guelph, and Dr Kevin Folta, horticultural researcher and professor at the University of Florida. Something I get incredibly frustrated with in the cosmetics industry - there’s this general assumption that organic is good, ‘gmos’ are bad, and naturally sourced will be inherently a ‘greener’ option. Look to just about any cosmetics “eco” certification to see what I mean. It’s a rare occasion when an actual agricultural scientist is given a platform on the topic of sustainable agriculture, so in our latest podcast, I wanted to give the platform to two that I have a lot of respect for, to help guide us through the topic. Hope you enjoy the conversation as much as I did!
