Full day master class about formulating hair care products! In this session, we’ll be exploring the biology of hair and considerations when making hair care products, hair-loving active ingredients, and green and natural formulations. Other important topics will include surfactants/emulsifiers, how to create safe and stable products, and effective preservation. Learn to make mild natural haircare products for any hair type (straight, wavy, thick, fine, curly, textured, etc). You’ll learn how to make the following products: shampoo (liquid & bar form), conditioner, leave in conditioner and hair serum. This class will be a wee bit on the advanced side but still very accessible to anyone enthusiastic about making cosmetic products. This class would also be great for professional development for indie beauty brands, estheticians, and hairdressers.
